Day 20: The Perfect Parson

When I was taking a walk through the woods, I saw the Parson. He was alone praying. I waited until he was done praying, then I took the time to ask him what had motivated him to be so dedicated to God. The Parson told me how Jesus Christ came to save him from his sins, when he was not worthy of being saved. He went on to tell me about the torture that Christ went through to save me. I felt very moved to think someone would do that for a squire like me. As I continued to ask him more questions about Jesus, he was more than glad to tell me about Jesus' love. He told me that Jesus had commanded to "love thy neighbor as yourself." The Parson was a man after God's own heart. He had given all his worldly possessions to those in need. He was content with his life because he knew he would be greatly rewarded in heaven.

Advice for the day: Today matters today, and tomorrow matters more tomorrow.
